social media "Goals & Results or Return on Investment

Social Media all is about:
1- Presence (your business/products/services)
2- Content
3- Engage

Still there is no accurate formula to calculate ROI (Return On Investment) born in social media, because social media is all about presence not for direct sales, you've to engage your target audience with your unique & generic content on the basis of Ish-Rule 80/20. 80% content about them and 20% content about.

It is not just that you create your Facebook Business Page, Timeline Cover Image and start posting your status updates, picture/images and URLs. You also need to engage your target audience with your personal profile, be human not just robots. As Google stated in their Guidelines that you've to create your content for the users, not for the search engines. So, according to experts in the social media experts it is all about "Engage".

If you go to Social Media Examiner Facebook Page or Mari Smith's Facebook Page and checkout both pages wall, observe that how they are engaging their audience with their expertise and how they are driving traffic to their site, even without including a single word that "purchase my book/product" to learn more...

There are some social CRMs that provides in-depth analytics like: Sprout Social, Radian-6, HootSuite etc... But, no one will give you to the point answer as you asked me above "Goals & Results" or Return on Investment.

Google Fluctuation

                Google Fluctuation refers to when Google indexes are updated. This period of time often results in fluctuations in the index size and some noticeable changes in search engine result positions. The term Google Dance was adopted as while an update is being processed the position of a website in Google seems to "dance" as it fluctuates.

Here are some reasons that make website’s rankings fluctuate on Google:

SEO Optimization Removal: it’s possible that if you have removed you Seo work – optimized pages from your website probably by updating your old files to the server, you have caused your site’s rankings to be dropped.

Posting fresh content: Google values fresh content on sites; Adding a new post  to your blog, posting a new article on your website or simply rewriting your site’s homepage could bring forth Google bots to move your website up the scales a few notch. Same could go for your competitors. However, the improvements in rankings don’t last that often unless you keep on updating your site’s content.

Copy Cat - Duplicate content: this is also more likely a guess as I didn’t found any proof  but I was just reading Google Webmaster Help and someone had claimed if your site’s content is copied by someone else, it could fluctuate your rankings. However, I have heard with duplicate content is that rankings will drop to 10+ pages of Google SR’s.

Different Google bots: each Google bot (spider) uses a slightly different algorithm; so, theoretically, when different spiders visit your site, they would rank your site according to their algorithm.
Multiple Data center: Fluctuations occur because Google has multiple data centers, (ips) which responds to queries. Also, Google has implemented rolling algorithm changes, so you can often feel when small changes happen if you are ranked for a competitive keyword. Its my experience that when my sites drop down in ranking for specific keywords, you will find for the next few days your site will jump or drop in positions until Google has the whole lot ironed out.

INFOGRAPHICS

For years, link-bait has been the highest level of link-building available. There’s nothing better for increasing rankings than to have a viral piece of content spread throughout the internet, getting posted and reposted across a wide-array of websites, blogs, and social media sites.

Infographics have emerged in the last 3 years as the most valid form of link-bait. When website owners see an infographic they like that fits in with their niche, they will often look for and find the embed code on the page, copy, and post it on their site. It is within the embed code that the real “juice” of infographics happen.It’s here where the magic occurs.

Links have been the dominant component of a strong SEO strategy for a while, now. Google and Bing look to outside signals about a site’s relevance as much if not more than all of the onsite signals combined. When a high-valued website links to yours, it acts in many ways as a vote in the eyes of the search engines.
Not all votes are created equal in the world of SEO, which is why infographics have acquired so much value. Getting an infographic posted on Mashable or FastCompany is much more valuable than buying a link from a spammy source, posting in hundreds of forums, or getting social bookmarks sent to a web site in bulk. The single link on these respected sites is better than a thousand links from link farms or spammy pages.

Include the Embed Code at the Source

If you don’t have an embed code, there’s a greater chance that website owners will post your infographic without a link to your site or simply pass up on posting it at all. Embed codes simplify the process and make it to where you’ll now have a better chance of getting the link and the post that you desire.

Look at this automotive marketing infographic. If you scroll down, you’ll see the embed code at the bottom of the page. To put that

code in, we posted this code:

<div>
<font style=”font-weight:bold;font-size:14px;”>Embed this Image on Your Site:<br/></font>
<textarea rows=”4″ cols=”45″ onclick=”this.select();”><a
href=”http://www.tkcarsites.com/automotive-marketing-pid18291″><img
src=”http://soshable.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/Automotive-Industry-Infographic.jpg” alt=”Automotive Marketing”
width=”600″ border=”0″ /></a><br />Via: <a href=”http://www.tkautomotiveseo.com”>Automotive SEO</a></textarea>
</div>

You can adjust the size, links, and alt tags to fit what you’re trying to accomplish with the infographic. When people find this code, all they have to do is paste it into their own posts in HTML mode and it will give them the infographic as well as giving you the links you need.
Keep in mind, there are actually two links in this example. The first link is the image link associated with the infographic. By applying an alt tag and linking it to one source (where the click to the image is supposed to go) a website owner will be able to get that inbound
link wherever it is posted.The second link is an actual text link at the bottom of the infographic. In reality, you can put more than one attribution link here. This is a good strategy if you have multiple sites you want to optimize through the infographic.

The Best Ways to Engage and Interact with You Facebook Fans

Facebook is a leading social network that has gained much popularity and fame among all other social networks. What are the reasons and why it is popular? The basic point is the intense interests of the users. How facebook keeps the users interested? There are many amazing facts and questions that are related to the popularity of this social network. If you are using this network then you might have many friends. The celebrities are commonly using facebok to interact with their fans because it is one of the most efficient methods to engage with the fans.  It’s simple to understand that each facebook user has so many friends or fans because this social site is basically for the grouping or networking of friends or experts belonging to same field or professions. How to engage with your friends on this social network? Is there any practice to interact with the facebook friends or fans? There are so many ways to engage and interact with your fans on this social site.

If you are looking for better interaction with your fans then you should talk with them. It means you have to give them personal attention. You can keep them interested by giving them priority and attention. To do this you have to interact with all the fans in your fan’s lists individually. However, for the busiest peoples it is very difficult to talk communicate with each fan separately but this practice can be helpful for your facebook status.

You can manage the interactions of the fans by using the policy of questioning. This policy provides you chance to interact with your fans for longer. For example, post a puzzle, a general knowledge question and any latest issue to get the fans involved. This method is really helpful because it increases the interest of the fans to stay with your whether you are online or offline. However, care should be taken while posting the questions so you should not post the lousy questions. The questions should be repeated after short intervals so this practice will not fed up the fans.

Facebook offers games for the users.  You can invite your friends to play different games whether available on this site or any other site. If you want to invite them to play games that are not present there so post links and encourage your fans by showing high scores either obtained by you or your friends. To encourage the fans you can call some challenges that will definitely force the fans to see what is present for them.

It is also useful to engage and interact with your fans. Many users on this social sites use to upload the images and video clips so you can use this strategy to get more attention of your fans. You can upload your recent popular activities, interviews, innovations and ideas to get better interaction with the facebook fans.

Latent Semantic Indexing

What is Latent Semantic Indexing?

Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI) is an indexing and database retrieval method that uses Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) and Correspondence Analysis to identify patterns in the relationships between terms and concepts contained in an unstructured collection of text. Latent Semantic Indexing then extracts that concept by establishing associations between those terms that occur in similar contexts.
Latent Semantic Indexing has ability to correlate semantically related terms that are latent in a collection of text. The method, also called Latent Semantic Analysis (LSA), uncovers the underlying latent semantic structure in the usage of words in a body of text and how it can be used to extract the meaning of the text in response to user queries, commonly referred to as concept searches. Queries, or concept searches, against a set of documents that have undergone Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI) will return results that are conceptually similar in meaning to the search criteria even if the results don’t share a specific word or words with the search criteria.
