Search plus Your World

Google has launched 'Search plus Your World' service that allows users to see personalized search results, including their friends in the social network Google+, as well as people, pages and profiles in the network. The new service, however, only works when users are logged in to their Google account. After launching the Search plus Your World option, a new button will appear on the search result page, which will allow users to toggle between results from the web and the new option.

Announcing the new Google service, on the official Google blog says, “Search is still limited to a universe of WebPages created publicly, mostly by people you’ve never met. Today, we are changing that by bringing your world, rich with people and information, into search."

“These wonderful people and this rich personal content are currently missing from your search experience. You should also be able to find your own stuff on the web, the people you know and things they have shared with you, as well as the people you don’t know but might want to all from one search box.”

The change would help Google transform into a search that “understands not only content, but also people and relationships”. The new Search plus Your World option is based on Google's current social search feature by adding up contents from Google+, including posts and photos. The results can be easily added from the social networking site.
